Dates, known locally as Khajoor, are one of the oldest cultivated fruits in the world, with roots tracing back to the Indus Civilization. Excavations from Moen-jo-Daro reveal that date palms were cultivated in Sindh as early as 2000 B.C.

Pakistani Dates are highly nutritious and energy-dense, containing carbohydrates, sugars, proteins, vitamins, and minerals. A kilogram of dates can provide between 2500–3000 calories.
